Article Policy

This page governs articles ("Articles") published on our blog by contributing writers ("Authors"), whether an Article comes from an open invitation, a request we make, or an Author's own initiative to submit one. When we refer to our "Platform" in this Policy, we mean dendewa.vercel.app and all associated pages, tools, and services we provide.

By submitting an Article to us, you accept the terms outlined in this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not submit an Article. You may also contact us at dendewalab@outlook.com with any questions about these terms.

Article Ownership

Every Article belongs to its Author. We do not claim ownership over the text, images, or any other material an Author includes in their Article, and publishing an Article on our blog does not transfer any rights to us. Unless an Author states otherwise, all rights in an Article remain with them, including copyright.

If an Article includes material the Author does not own, such as a quote, image, or excerpt from someone else, the Author is responsible for making sure they have the right to use it. See Author Responsibility for more on this.

Submission & Publishing

An Article can reach us in a few different ways: through an open invitation we post for the community, through a direct request we make to a specific Author, or through an Author reaching out on their own to submit something. Regardless of how an Article reaches us, the same terms in this Policy apply once it is published on our Platform.

We review submitted Articles before publishing and may decline to publish an Article, or ask for changes, at our discretion. We may also edit an Article for formatting, clarity, or house style before publishing, but we will not change its substance or meaning without the Author's agreement.

Our Role

We act solely as a host for Articles, not as their owner or publisher in a legal sense. We provide the space, formatting, and distribution for an Article, but the Author remains the creator and rights holder of everything in it.

We do not review Articles for factual accuracy, and publishing an Article does not mean we endorse the views, opinions, or claims made in it. Any opinions expressed in an Article are the Author's own.

License Granted to Us

By submitting an Article, the Author grants us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, format, and distribute the Article on our Platform, and to make minor edits as described in Submission & Publishing. This license lasts for as long as the Article remains published on our Platform.

This license is limited to what is needed to host and present the Article on our Platform. It does not give us the right to sell the Article as a standalone product, sublicense it to third parties, or use it outside the context of our blog, unless the Author agrees separately in writing.

An Author may ask us to remove their Article at any time, which ends this license going forward. See Removal & Takedown for how this works.

Author Responsibility

By submitting an Article, the Author confirms they have the right to publish everything in it, including any text, images, or other material included from other sources. The Author is responsible for making sure their Article does not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.

The Author is solely responsible for the content of their Article, including its accuracy and any claims it makes. If a third party brings a claim against us because of something in an Author's Article, the Author agrees to cooperate with us in resolving it, and is responsible for any resulting costs caused by their own infringement or misrepresentation.

Removal & Takedown

An Author can request we remove their Article at any time by contacting us at the address in Contact Information. We will remove the Article within a reasonable time of receiving the request.

We may also remove or unpublish an Article at our discretion, for example if it violates this Policy, breaks the law, or is the subject of a valid copyright claim. Where practical, we will notify the Author before or shortly after removing their Article and explain why.

Copyright Claims

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our Authors to do the same. If you believe an Article on our Platform infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a claim to us for review.

To submit a claim, contact us at dendewalab@outlook.com with the following information:

• Identification of the Work

  Identification of the work you claim has been infringed.

• Identification of the Article

  Identification of the specific Article you allege is infringing, including its location on our Platform.

• Contact Information

  Your contact information.

• Good Faith Statement

  A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

Once we receive a valid claim, we will review it and may remove or disable access to the relevant Article while we investigate. Since the Article belongs to its Author, we may forward your claim to them for direct resolution.

If an Article is removed or disabled because of a claim and the Author believes this was done in error, they may submit a counter-notice to the same address. Include an explanation of why you believe the claim is mistaken, along with any supporting information establishing your right to publish the Article. We will review counter-notices in good faith, but we retain sole discretion over whether and when to restore an Article.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time, at our sole discretion. If we do, we will post the updated terms on this page, along with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this page regularly for any updates.

Changes to this Policy apply going forward, to new activity on the Platform after the change is posted, but they do not retroactively narrow rights you already have, or expand obligations already attached, to something covered under an earlier version of this Policy. Your continued use of the Platform after a change is posted means you accept the updated terms for that continued use.
