Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our platform, services, and web-based utilities. Where we refer to our "Platform" or "Services" in these Terms, we refer to dendewa.vercel.app and all associated documentation, repository lists, and creative tools. Individuals who access or interact with our Platform are referred to as "Users."

By accessing or using our Platform in any manner, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue your use of our Platform and Services.

Acceptance of Terms

Your access to and use of the Platform is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Services.

We provide digital content creation resources, including shaders, materials, skyboxes, technical guides, and visual demonstrations primarily intended for 3D content creation and real-time rendering pipelines.

Services Overview

Our Platform offers several core areas of functionality designed to assist 3D content creators:

  • Documentation & Guides

Technical write-ups, workflow documentation, and implementation guides for MMD, MME, and shader pipelines.

  • Digital Asset Repositories

Distribution points for public and private repository files, including shader packs, materials, LUTs, and skybox archives.

  • Web-Based Tools

In-browser creative utilities such as the Normal Map Generator and Skybox Creator.

  • Showcase Galleries

Curated visual demonstrations featuring community renders and video integrations from supported platforms.

Client-Side Web Tools

We provide client-side browser utilities to assist in graphic asset preparation. All file processing, image manipulation, and shader mathematics occur entirely within your web browser using HTML5 Canvas and WebGL APIs.

Your source files, images, and HDR data never leave your local device and are not uploaded to, processed by, or stored on our servers. You retain complete ownership over all files generated using our tools.

Our tools are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Processing high-resolution assets (such as 4K HDR environment maps or high-dimension texture maps) requires substantial local hardware and graphics memory resources. We do not warrant that our tools will operate uninterrupted or error-free on all browser and hardware configurations, and we are not liable for any browser crashes, freezing, or local resource exhaustion caused by client-side operations.

Prohibited Conduct & System Security

To ensure the security, reliability, and fair availability of our Platform for the entire creative community, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Denial of Service & Infrastructure Disruption

You may not launch, facilitate, or participate in any Denial of Service (DoS) or Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, request flooding, or any activity that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our servers, edge networks, or hosting infrastructure.

  • Circumvention of Security & Access Controls

You may not bypass, disable, tamper with, or circumvent any technical protection measures, bot detection challenges (including Cloudflare Turnstile verification), verification tokens, rate limits, or password gates safeguarding our public and private repositories. Furthermore, you may not share, leak, redistribute, sell, or publish verification tokens, session credentials, private repository URLs, or password gates to unauthorized third parties or public forums.

  • Automated Scraping & Mass Extraction

You may not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, automated download utilities, or data-harvesting scripts to systematically extract files, metadata, or repository listings from our Platform without our prior written consent.

  • API Tampering & Vulnerability Probing

You may not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our endpoints, forge or spoof HTTP request headers, manipulate API query parameters, or invoke private backend endpoints directly outside of the intended user interface workflows.

Assets & Publications

Certain specific activities on our Platform are governed by specialized policies that complement these Terms:

  • Digital Asset Distribution

All digital assets, repository archives, shaders, and downloadable files distributed through the Platform are governed strictly by our Assets License. You must review and comply with the licensing terms applicable to each specific asset before downloading or using it.

  • Blog Submissions & Articles

Articles, technical write-ups, or guest blog posts submitted by contributing authors are governed by our Article Policy.

  • Privacy & Telemetry

How we process telemetry, manage cookies, and interact with third-party service providers is detailed in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Platform Access & Termination

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Platform, specific features, download endpoints, or verification tokens for any user, IP address, or automated client at our sole discretion, at any time and without prior notice or liability, in response to any breach of these Terms or system abuse.

A material violation of the Assets License also constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in account sanctions, including restriction of platform access, revocation of verification tokens, and removal from our community spaces.

In cases of substantiated material violations of these Terms or the Assets License (including false authorship, unauthorized commercialization, intellectual property theft, or repeated minor violations treated as material), we may add the offending party to a community blacklist shared with collaborating creators to protect creative integrity. Blacklisting is strictly based on documented factual evidence, limited to an objective description of the conduct, and subject to our Appeals & Reinstatement procedure.

We may act immediately and without prior notice where conduct is severe, deliberate, or causes ongoing harm. Appeal remains available afterward.

We maintain full discretion to modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of the Services, repository availability, or documentation without obligation to provide compensation or advance warning.

Appeals & Reinstatement

We believe in fair, accountable enforcement. If your access to the Platform has been restricted, your verification tokens revoked, your asset license terminated, or your identifier added to a community blacklist, and you believe this was done in error or you have resolved the underlying issue in good faith, you may submit a formal appeal.

Appeals must be submitted to dendewalab@outlook.com and include:

  • Your identifying details (username, email, or relevant account handles)
  • A clear explanation of why you believe the sanction was issued in error, or documentation demonstrating that the violation has been completely cured
  • Any supporting evidence, communication logs, or links verifying your statements

We review all appeals in good faith and endeavor to respond typically within 14 business days. Sanctions remain in effect during the review period unless we determine otherwise. Decisions issued by DENDEWA LAB regarding appeals are final. Repeated appeals for the same sanction will not be reviewed unless substantial, verifiable new documentary evidence is submitted that was not previously available. DENDEWA LAB retains sole authority over whether to grant reinstatement, lift platform bans, restore revoked tokens, or remove an identifier from a community blacklist. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a sanction will be reversed.

This appeals procedure applies strictly to platform access restrictions, token revocations, and community blacklist entries. Formal copyright infringement notices, claims, and counter-notices are handled through the separate statutory procedure set forth in the Copyright Claims section of our Assets License.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform, documentation, web tools, and all associated services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

We expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will meet your specific technical requirements, that operation will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from bugs, errors, or inaccuracies.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DENDEWA LAB, its operators, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Platform, tools, or digital assets.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DENDEWA LAB, its operators, contributors, and collaborating creators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform or tools, or your infringement of any intellectual property or rights of any third party.

Dispute Resolution & General Provisions

DENDEWA LAB operates as an independent digital community and creative collective. We are dedicated to fair, transparent community standards. If any disagreement, claim, or dispute arises concerning these Terms or your use of the Platform, you agree to first attempt informal resolution in good faith by contacting us directly at dendewalab@outlook.com or through our official Discord community.

These Terms are governed by general principles of digital property law and open creative licensing, construed in good faith under the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where our operators reside, without giving effect to conflict of laws principles. Platform access and repository availability remain operational privileges administered at our discretion.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by any competent authority, that specific provision shall be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and all remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When changes are made, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes become effective immediately upon being posted to the Platform.

Your continued use of or access to the Platform after any revisions become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Services.
